The 5th International Forum “Smart City of the Future”, held from 29 to 30 November 2016 in Moscow and hosted by the International News Agency “Russia Today”, provided a venue to discuss the available opportunities for the growth and the new quality of the regions and cities in Russia; impact of technological change on Russia’s cities; primary vehicles for driving investment to a city; the role of an active dweller in changing the appearance of the district and the city and also the role of the specialists who might be required in the future.
Tatyana Polidi, IUE Executive Director, made a presentation on the “Investment Attractiveness of the Projects for Renovation of Dilapidated Residential Areas in Russia’s Cities” at a ‘round-table’ event “Investment and Urban Economics”.
The Forum’s audience included the executive officials of federal ministries and agencies, governors and mayors, representatives of public corporations and industrial enterprises, investment entities and banks, developers and construction companies, and also urban management experts. The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media and the Ministry of Construction.
