XIV All-Russian conference "Mortgage lending in Russia" was held in Moscow on April 27, 2016.
Purpose of the event: to develop practical solutions for strategic government initiatives in mortgage lending.
In 2015-2016 there were launched new government initiatives to form transparency of functioning of the residential real estate market, to launch pilot projects on increasing the liquidity through new instruments of industry financing, to solve issues on "foreign-currency" mortgage depositors, subsidizing mortgage rates. Undoubtedly, the government's efforts are designed to achieve market stability, to maintain the supply and demand for residential real property. Thus, one of the key issues remains lowering of mortgage rates up to 7%.
The President of The Institute for Urban Economics Nadezhda B. Kosareva made a report on "Development of the system of housing mortgage lending and other forms of housing financing". In addition, the President of IUE became the moderator of the panel discussion on the theme "Development of housing construction and infrastructure subjects. Structural solutions", participants of which discussed implementation of the state program "Housing for the Russian family", the existing forms of state support for housing construction, new approaches to financing of construction and operation of engineering and technical support facilities and innovative infrastructure solutions.
